Parkes Show
Committee of 75 voluntary members supported by approximately 150 stewards and a membership of 1200 families. The main activity of the Association is to produce the Annual Agricultural Show in the last week of August of each year. Our show is traditionally a week day show being Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday. We hold night shows on the Tuesday & Wednesday nights.
The committee of the Parkes show will hold its 130th show in August this year. During this time we have had only missed two show, firstly in 1942 because of WW2, then again in 2007 by the outbreak of Equine Influenza.
The showground is an area of 27hectares with 13 Pavilions, 150 Horse Stables, 50 Horse Yards 4 amenities blocks. The maintenance is mostly done with volunteer labour.
Country shows only survive because of the generous sponsorship which they receive from local Business. Our Premier sponsor is Westlime who are suppliers of agricultural products. Other Major sponsors are Parkes Toyota, Northparkes Mines, Ostini Wool , McPhersons Pty Ltd, Janlin Agribusiness & A A Blatch.

Competitions run in conjunction with the show:
Junior Judging: Merino Sheep, Merino Fleece Judging, Meat Sheep Judging, Cattle Judging, Cattle Paraders Judging, Grains Judging, Hack Judging and Fruit & Vegetables.
All winners compete at zone level then winners qualify for the Royal Easter Show in Sydney.

Showgirl Competition: Open to you ladies between the ages of 18 years and 24 years as at May 2011.
Shearing Competition, sponsored by Ostini Wool, this event carries approx $1500 in prizemoney
