This key piece of legislation delivers a consolidated, consistent and more transparent framework for the management of Crown land.

As a feature of this legislation, the Community Engagement Strategy is now also approved by the Minister and will ensure greater community involvement in the decision making regarding Crown land.

Continuing to support greater transparency, the Minister has also announced the appointment of a Crown Land Commissioner who will work closely with community and stakeholders.

Further information on the commencement of the new Act can be found on the NSW Department of Industry website.
