Jerrawa Show

The Jerrawa Show Society was formed in 1933, with Arthur Heat as first president and Thomas Bush as secretary, both serving more than 20 years. The present secretary, Leo Privett, has also served for over two decades. The original committee numbered eight, including Riley Bush, a prominent figure who has given more than 50 years of service. Disaster struck on February 13, 1979, when bushfire destroyed all society buildings. Yet by April 1980, a record show was staged, made possible by a State Government grant, generous support from ASC Group 7 societies, and extensive community fundraising.
