Corowa Show

The Corowa Pastoral, Agricultural and Horticultural Society was formed in 1876 and the first show held in H. Levin's yard on February 2, 1878. First president was Alexander Sloane, J.P., whose great-grandson, John Sloane, of Mulwala, opened the 100th show in February, 1983. The longest serving president was Henry Hay, who served from 1897-1918. During its long history the society has had annual shows except during World War II. Venues have been on several sites in Corowa. Moving to the showground-racecourse complex in 1958.
