Show History 

The Ganmain Agricultural and Pastoral Association was formed in 1908 with Donald McPherson as the first president. The first show was held in 1909. As the Ganmain district is the centre of the largest hay and chaff industry in the State, the main attraction at the first show was a hotly contested chaff-cutting contest. Other attractions of the one-day Saturday show include three horse rings, show jumping, trotting events and an RASKC dog show.
