Walbundrie Show

The first Walbundrie Show originated in 1911 from an argument between the local publican and the storekeeper as to whose trotter was the best. The wager for the event was five pounds and the course was one mile from the cemetery to the school. From that they ventured into a horse parade the following year. It became known as the Walbundrie Show Society and is now the Walbundrie P A & H Society. The first president was Jim King, secretary, Arthur Gibbons and treasurer, Blan Lucas.
