Congratulations to Sue Hood OAM
AgShows NSW proudly congratulates Director Sue Hood OAM of Dubbo on being recognised in the 2026 King's Birthday Honours for her outstanding service to regional agricultural shows and youth.
Sue has dedicated more than 40 years to the agricultural show movement, including serving as Secretary of the Dubbo Show Society since 1994, a Director of AgShows NSW since 2014, and a passionate advocate for regional communities and young people across New South Wales.
A long-time supporter of the AgShows NSW Young Woman Competition and youth development programs, Sue's leadership, commitment and volunteer service have made a lasting impact on agricultural shows throughout the state.
Previously recognised with the AgShows NSW President's Award in 2019, Sue's appointment as a Member of the Order of Australia (OAM) is a fitting tribute to her outstanding contribution and dedication.
On behalf of the Board, staff, members and volunteers of AgShows NSW, we congratulate Sue on this well-deserved honour and thank her for her remarkable service to the agricultural show movement.
